How to train your mind to focus

Training your mind to focus is imperative when positioning yourself to attract using the law of attraction. A focused mind is like a fertilized tree, it bears more fruit and better fruit.

But, this is easier said then done, focusing the mind in this day and age of many distractions is very tough, but it can be done. Here are some surefire ways to train your brain to focus better.


  • Read at least 2 chapters a day of your favorite books.
The dwindling art of reading, is actually what is responsible for most of the intelligent and disciplined people of the world. Reading requires you to sit still, and focus on the words in order to make sense of them as your eyes pick each one up to form a story. In order to utilize reading as a mechanism with which to train the mind to focus, it is imperative to do it in a quiet place for at least an hour everyday. Doing this will take you out of your day to day life and out of the distractions of social media, television and radio. It enters you into a quiet world where you are training your mind to be alert, seeing and processing something that only exist on paper into a mental movie as though it were real.

  • Push yourself out of your comfort zone everyday.
You might be wondering how this will train your mind, but that is because you are forgetting that DISCIPLINE is a massive requirement in order to train the mind. As the old saying goes, "Comfort is the enemy of success". If you want to train your mind to focus on what you are trying to manifest, getting out of your comfort zone everyday will put you in a position of mind over matter. It is an effective way of getting your mind to understand that no matter what is happening to distract it, focusing on what is being done is the inevitable. The more you do this, the more resilient you will become to the distractions of life, hence the more focused you will be.

  • Written and Spoken affirmations.
When you wake up everyday, before starting the day, one of the most important things you can do is constantly remind yourself of what is important and what you are trying to accomplish. One way of doing this is with vision boards, but another way of doing this is with affirmations. Get a note book and keep it under your pillow, everyday and before you go to bed at night write and re-write what is most important to you and what you are trying to accomplish. After your morning bathe, speak to yourself in the mirror, reminding yourself of what is important and what you are trying to accomplish. Do these things ritualistically, and watch as your mind becomes laser focused on your goals and then watch it all become a reality.

How to attract positive energy.

Knowing how to release negative energy is great knowledge to posses, however even more valuable is knowing how to attract positive energy. In today's society it's easy to assume that this is a rare and precious commodity, and that only a lucky few people are blessed with positive energy. However, positive energy is all around us and it's up to us to do the right things to attract in into our lives. 


Here are the age old ways that people have been attracting and maintaining positive energy in their lives for centuries.

1). Empty mind

Most people are of the belief that in order to maintain a happy mind, you must constantly be in a state of happy thought, but this is not the case. It will actually benefit you more if you were to keep your mind as empty as possible, so that the natural energy of the world can flow easily through you, as well so that you and your thoughts and actions can flow naturally with the energy of the universe. This prevents your energy from ever going against the grain of what is meant for your life. And do not be alarmed by this somewhat lack of control you are allowing yourself to have, because believe it or not, happy is what the universe and God wants us to be as human beings, however this gets interrupted by contradictory energy when our minds are cluttered or we try too hard to control things. Free your mind and attract more positivity.

2). Visualization

Take time out your day everyday to visualize good things into your life. Things that make you happy, yes, but they must also be GOOD, if they are not good, then you run the risk of attracting negative energy into your life. Even if it is the last thing you do before going to sleep every night, visualize positive things happening in your life and watch it all manifest into your reality.

3). Charity

Acts of charity is one of the best and easiest ways to attract positivity, and this is because, it requires you to distribute positivity in both your actions as well as your thoughts into the universe. What you put out in life, is what you will get back in return. Give from your heart to something that genuinely brings you joy to do and think of doing and the rewards will be paid with dividends in the amount of positive energy that will come your way.

4). Being present

To be present is to not be stressing over the past, neither worrying about the future. To be present is to live in the here and now. Acknowledge that the past is the past, and the future is only going to be as good as every decision you make in your present.

5). Positive Affirmations

We as people often find it extremely easy to dish out positive words of encouragement to others, but rarely ever do so to ourselves. The world is only going to show you as much love as you show yourself. When you begin practicing self love and appreciation, you will be surprised to see how much positive energy you will attract.

6). Always keep a happy disposition

The power of a smile, even when you have nothing to smile about moves mountains!, it changes everything!

Most people believe that in order to be happy and live with joy and gratitude in your heart, it means you have accomplished all our dreams and goals. But, in the cases where you happen across people who really genuinely happy, most of the time if they tell you their story, you might wonder why.

This is because happiness does not favor those who are accomplished, however, accomplishments favor those who are happy. If you really desire the life that you crave, it's as simple as being happy and grateful now. Though easily said this is not easily done! This is because most people think that happiness is something that exist outside of who they are. The secret is to look within. When you tap into the happiness within all your dreams and goals will become a reality and the best life you could have ever thought of will be yours. 

  • Step 1). Wake up everyday as though you are waking up in the house of your dreams.
  • Step 2). Leave the house everyday as though you are going to the career of your dreams.
  • Step 3). Spend your day beaming with joy as though you are have everything you could ever want already in your life.

Best ways to release negative energy

As the new year approaches, we all are making big plans, for big accomplishments and transitions in our life. Making plans for a better future is great, but those plans won't work out in our favor if we do not let go of the things in our life that hold us back. As we prepare to usher in a new year, here are some no fail ways to release negative energy and give yourself the best chance at a new life in 2017.

1). Forgive others and more importantly forgive yourself.

This is something that people take for granted more and more as they get older and more distracted with the numerous things that make them upset on a daily basis. Just think how happy and carefree you were as a child when you innocently forgave others when they did something that you didn't agree with or that upset you, and how much easier it made life. Life was easier then because no mental or emotional energy was exhausted on harboring negativity over the mistakes of others or yourself. This is something we as adults and young adults can re-teach ourselves and benefit from greatly. It will lighten our hearts and minds and in doing so make more room for positive feelings and emotions.

2).   Write it all down and burn it.

Let's face it, not all of us like the idea of sitting and speaking to a complete stranger about our problems. However, another great way of releasing the tension that has built up over the years from negative situations and interactions is to simply write it down. Writing it out serves as a means of getting it out of your system, and burning it (while it may sound bizarre to some) serves as a way of destroying it to the minds eye. It is a proven fact that anything that soothes the mind will in turn soothe the heart and eventually soothe the body.


3). Find a song that relaxes you and designate it as a feel good mechanism in your life.


This is simple yet effective. Most of us love music because of it's soothing effects. Some types of music is designed to make us feel better, and some of it is designed to make us feel worse. Dive into the music that once you hear it makes you feel happy inside. Make yourself a playlist and have it with you at all times. When you are in a situation that threatens your peace of mind pop it on and take yourself out of the moment. Or else wait till you get home turn on you playlist and wash off the day, everyday.

4). Practice proper breathing.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed, or a upset by a person or situation, be sure to practice proper breathing. Sounds like it doesn't make much of a difference, but the positive effects of it are palpable. When you take a deep breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, you give your body the proper amount of energy as well as oxygen it needs to clam your nerves and make you in turn feel a lot better a lot faster than it you didn't. Doing this multiple times works best.


5). Practice the ancient art of laughing. 

The world is pack filled with things to be upset about, angry about, and even sad about, In fact the whole basis around "news" is to keep highlighted all the tragedies that happen in the world on a regular basis. Staying informed is great, but spend more time staying happy. Take several moments out of your day everyday to look at something that makes you laugh or even make a joke that makes someone else laugh. The effects of laughter is evident, laughter is known to have cured some people of diseases and will do the same for you and the negative energy.

6). Commit acts of charity regularly.

Doing good things for other that make them happy believe it or not goes a long way in getting rid of the negative energy that we may have acquired along the way in our days. Commit to doing one act of charity a week, make it a ritual and reap the rewards in your heart, mindset and life.


7). Surround yourself with positive, like minded people.


Easier said than done, surrounding yourself with positive people is an easy way to not only get rid of negative energy in your life, but to also keep it from ever coming back into your life again. Sadly, a lot of why the world is filled with negative energy has to do with the negative people that can be found almost everywhere. Having people in your life should not be about quantity or popularity, but about quality. If you only have one good quality person in your life, you have more than a person who has 10 people in their life of bad quality. Keep that in mind when choosing who you surround yourself by and watch your life change drastically.

Create at least one habit that you must do every day!

One of the best ways to prepare your life for manifestation is to create a solid pattern of habits. Easier said than done we know. 


Let's first explore what is a Habit...


A habit i a routine or behavior that is repeated regularly. After a while of repeating the same thing regularly, it will become something that you do subconsciously. 


Why are habits so important?


Habits are important so that we can develop a sense of self discipline. Once we develop into a routine of habitually doing positive things we in turn manifest and attract only positive things. 


Here are some tips on how to firmly develop a habit...


  1. Start simple - No pressure should be applied when doing this, simply decide on something positive that you want to commit doing every day, and begin doing it. When you are first starting, have no specific time for execution or expectations, Just Do It!....
  2. Commit to repeating this action every day for 15 to 30 days - This is where the rewiring of your brain begins. When you commit to doing the same positive action for 15 to 30 days it will eventually become a habit and become something you do automatically.
  3. Set Reminders - For some of us, creating a habit is a bit of a task and that's okay, simply set a reminder so that you will have an extra helping hand pushing you along the way, do this until it is no longer required. 
  4. Do not give up on yourself - Whatever you do, do not give up on yourself. It is important to remember that roam was not built in a day, or two, or three. So be patient with yourself, and love yourself enough to keep trying until you get it.
